I hope this was a busy-anomaly night. Waited for 30 min for a soda. Waited 45 minutes for food at 8pm with open tables and never got a refill. Food was good but not AMAZING or equal to price. Also, who forgets the pickle on a Cuban sandwich?!
Wow just wow. I went in here with my paraplegic half cousin and a big ol’ hankerin’ for some down home hospitality. We were greated by a geriatric man in a cowboy hat with a grey hitler moustache. Well Howdy! This place is great already. Then we each ordered the triple decker purple kool-aid orange soda and i was slipping backwards in my pants it was sooooo tastey. It’s a must order ‘secret menu item’! Just ask they’ll know what youre talking about. We finished up with some vegan muskrat chitlens and a side of goat cheese peyote forester fries. Me and my paraplegic half cousin will be back tomorrow with reinforcements!
I went after working late with a colleage for something quick and simple. I was sure about the idea of a vegan place (my favorite food is meat, but this was great. They had a good amount of non-vegan/vegetarian dishes the sandwiches a good size. The cuban was fantastic and did not take more than a few minutes to serve. I’ll be going back to try more of the sandwiches. I’m also curious to see how their vegan cakes taste.
Such a great place!!! Great selection of sandwiches with great flavor combinations and TONS of veggie/vegan options. I had the Kansas Katie and my boyfriend had the Under the Volcano, both which we loved. The staff was great and they had great prices, I only wish we had tried their cocktails! Can’t wait to go back
I used to love this place. We would go here at least once a week for the unique and tasty food. I hate to say it, but after today, we won’t be back. It took almost 30 mins for someone to take our order, then another hour to get the food. Then another 35 mins to get the check. The food was cold. I understand they were busy but there were two cooks and I noticed very little food was coming through the window. The waiter did not even apologize for the wait. I hope the owner gets the staff under control, because this truly is a wonderful concept, and I will miss eating here.
Great for the Meat Eater and the Vegan. We tried The Remedy Diner for the first time last night. I was very impressed with the variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes available at this small diner. My husband went for a turkey pesto sandwich and really enjoyed it. I tried The Groovy Train which was a delicious mix of goat cheese, spinach, avocado, tomato, balsamic dressing and broccoli. We would both highly recommend the fried broccoli appetizer. The broccoli is flash fried which brings out a different, but utterly delicous, flavor. We really wanted to try the desserts, but we were too full. Next time (and there will definitely be a next time). They also have a pretty good selection of loal beers and the bottles were 1/2 price on Monday night.
Great vegan food. Nice atmosphere and the service was okay. I would recommend the vegan BLT & chocolate cake (;
