Perfect! Legit italian food & great atmosphere. Had a date night and tried Tuscan Blu because they were participating in restaurant week and the menu looked enticing.I’ve never been happier with a restaurant in Raleigh. It’s tiny, and not busy at all. I don’t think many people know it exists. The chef is straight off the boat. He walks around checking on customers, and not because he has to, he genuinely wants you to critique his cooking.My husband got chicken parm. It’s all I ever plan to order there. It was amazing. The tirimisu was perfect. Strong espresso used without being soggy, with a huge layer of mascarpone cream. And then we got cappuccinos. I’ve never had one quite like theirs. I don’t know what magical machine they used to steam their milk, but oh my god. And don’t get me started on their house Cabernet.On our way out, an tiny italian woman stopped us outside to ask what we thought, and how we heard of her place. All in all, a perfect experience. It’s small enough to be intimate while still feeling casual. Some place you can take the family or have a romantic date. By the way, I am italian. The type where my grandparents cooked from morning til dinnertime Sundays, making everything from scratch right down to the pasta.
Authentic Italian Food, definitely a gem in downtown Raleigh. I had lunch at Tuscan Blu for the first time today and I must say, the food was authentic and delicious. I had the Spaghettini Diavolo. The sauce was homemade and so tasty with just the right amount of spice; the shrimp were large and cooked to perfection. I also loved the bread and you can definitely tell that it is homemade.I loved the decor, and everything was clean and well kept. Since it was so nice outside, we ate outside and it was so relaxing and peaceful.The service was great and the owners are extremely attentive. We got in and out in no time. I’ll definitely be back!
