the hot dogs themselves arent really very good. they might be bright leaf im not sure, but they need to use a better brand. that would make a huge difference. this place has a huge local following(as most local places do) people love bills, but my family and my friends went here last month, and i must say we werent happy. even the kids thought the hot dogs tasted funny, but hey are used to better hot dogs. these kind of remind me of the el chepo ones you buy 2 for a 1.00. the waterfront was nice, but we wont be returning.
bills is a little small place no seats. the hot dogs are like the ones from a cheap gas station, not really that good, just ok for a quick bite to eat. i really dont get whats so good about this place, the staff is mean, the place is small, and the hot dogs are far from being the best hot dogs in nc. the chili is a white meatless kind, would be ok if they used a better brand hot dog.
Know the truth – I do. I will write more later but for now the Bill’ across the street from the old train station is and was the only one. MY Grand mother made the chili in the home on and old stove and only the family had the know how as the the whole hot dog. When I was about 6 or so the train ran and we came from Raleigh to Little Washing got off or got on with Bill’s hot dogs. Over the years as Bill got older, he sold the place and the over the years the new owners made changes ….. it is not the same but OKI live in Nicaragua now and still think of the old hot dog Bill and my Grand Mother made.Steve
Amazing and inexpensive too. I’ve been earring here since I was a small child. Now that I live in Atlanta it is the first thing I want when I visit home. Mustard and chili for me please with a cold Pepsi! Fed 6 people today for under $25! It doesn’t get any better!
This is not the ORIGINAL Bill’s Hotdog Stand, so the dogs aren’t quite as good. Some people believe it’s because the pots the chili is cooked in aren’t ‘seasoned’. You need to try the dogs from the Original Bill’s, 109 Gladden Street, Washington, NC
Not good at all. Much better places than this crap. i think locals do not know what a good hot dog should taste like. the roast grill in raleigh blows this junk away.
