  For everybody that thinks they like Grub Brothers or is thinking about going, let me give you a little insight on what they’ve got going on. For one, the cockroach infestation in the kitchen, as well as the dining area is outrageous. I’ve seen them with my own eyes crawling all over the plates and other stuff in the kitchen. There was a actually a former employee that had a cockroach on a CUSTOMER. There was also an incident where a moth was found in someone’s salad. Next, as many people have already mentioned, there is mold throughout the whole restaurant and the floors are starting to cave in as well. Also, they use food that has been sitting out for long periods of time (which has been a recent health inspection problem) along with using old food. Not to mention, there was rotten chicken that stayed in the freezer that was kept around all the other food. The owners make their employees come in after throwing up the night before or that morning or whatever, regardless the heath code on the wall in Grub Brothers states that no employee should come in until 24 hours after their last symptom. For the past couple of months that I worked there, we had several customers say that they’d never come in again because of the bad food experience and the wait time was usually ridiculous. The kitchen manager constantly treated employees with disrespect, whether it was telling them to shut up and just stop talking or to get out of the kitchen when they came to check on food, it was always something extremely negative. There were also many time where she’d go sit at the bar and drink and then go back into the kitchen to work. Employees have had their checks withheld for long periods of time because they couldn’t afford to pay them. There was actually an incident where the food was repoed because of a bad check given from Grub Brothers. I was recently fired because I requested a day off (the week before) because I was out of town and I was still put on the schedule and then told employees if I didn’t show up that I was fired, keep in mind I was OUT OF TOWN. Not once did she tell me what was going on, I had to hear everything from one of the girls that works there. I texted her multiple times and was not given a response until either hours later, the day after, or not at all. After I texted her 4 times in a row to see if I needed to come in the NEXT MORNING like I was scheduled, she texted me hours later when she was drunk and told me I didn’t need to with a emoji. It took her 3 days to finally let me directly that I didn’t need to come in. She acted extremely immature and unprofessional towards me and has towards a lot of the employees in the past. She constantly drinks and doesn’t remember anything that her employees tell her and then leaves it to them to solve. I’m sure there is a lot of stuff that I am leaving out but this alone is enough to make me never want to eat at that disgusting place again!

  Likes it. Service was excellent. I had the Nor’easter burger with the hash brown side and the bottled root beer. I have never had the brand of root beer they sell but it was good. The bacon and fried egg on the burger was excellent as was the hash brown side. The only drawback was the hamburger patty was tough and overdone. It looked like one of those frozen patties. So overall I would go back but I would not order another burger.

  Best grilled wedge salad ever. Homemade chips quite good. Seafood chowder decent but nothing special. Excellent service and pleasant atmosphere. Just got soup and salad first visit. Came back to try a burger with hash brown casserole patty that waiter raved about. Burger and side were good. Did wish the bun had been put on the grill or otherwise warmed before serving. But overall, please with the place both times.
