Best French Toast Ever!. We went for brunch and our server Donya was great and made every item sound tasty. we go at least every other Sunday and i now have a new favorite. French toast. But i still like the Breakfast Burger just as much. Great Food! My top restaurants are Rippingtons of Waxhaw and Oggi in Ballentyne

Wonderful!!!. Had dinner last Friday evening with our daughter, Amanda, who was visiting from Austin, Texas. We had the artichoke crab dip as our appetizer. Amanda ordered the shrimp scampi, I had the tilapia and my husband ordered the steak special. Everything was so delicious and our waitress was excellent!! This is our favorite restaurant. We have eaten here many times and the food is wonderful!!!

Yummy!!!. Stopped by Ripingtons for lunch while visiting some antique stores in Waxhaw. I ordered the salmon salad and my mom had the shrimp po boy. Both meals were more that enough food plus I ended up eating half of my mom’s sandwich because it was so good. I was stuffed but couldn’t help myself. I wished we would’ve had room for dessert. I will definitely make it my business to try everything on thier menu.

Bad Brunch Experience. My wife and I went to Rippingtons for lunch on Sunday, April 8th. We have been several times, once or twice with our 3 kids. I have always liked their food and service. Sunday however was different. My wife’s order (French Toast) was really good and she enjoyed it. I ordered the Steak and eggs, which is advertized as a Beef Tenderloin with 2 eggs and hashbrowns. I ordered the steak cooked medium. They were busy and it tool almost 30 minutes for our food to arrive during which I had to catch our waitress to refill my tea, as after she took our order, she pretty much disappeared. My tenderloin looked great and smelled good, but as I began eating past the end of the tenderloin it became apparent that the meat wasn’t cooked properly, and was so tough that my fork wouldn’t even go into it. I was hungry and ate the pieces off of the end leaving more than half of the tenderloin remaining. I cut this in half, and it was nearly raw inside. I showed this to the waitress and she really didn’t seem to know what to do. I told her I thought she should take the tenderloin off of the ticket. when she returned she said that the manager had agreed to let her void off my sweet teat to make up for it ($2.25). I asked her if out of the 9.95 for the Steak and eggs the steak only was worth $2.25 and she said she guessed it was to account for the portion of the steak that I had eaten. She had taken my tea off the bill but I had her bill me separately for a tea. It was obvious that the manager, or owner or whoever made the decision for her didn’t understand customer service, nor did they understand that by NOT returning to Rippingtons with my wife or kids, that the $5.00 they could have taken off the bill will cost more than that over time. The manager never made any effort to come to the table either.First time anything like this has happened there, but it will also be the last.

Will be back. A friend and i were out doing some exploring of the waxhaw antique stores. one of the store owners recommended rippingtons. we had already eaten lunch but she told us we would not be disappointed if we got the ice cream pie. once there, we wished we had gone there for lunch! everyone’s plate looked so appetizing. the wait staff were so friendly. the ice cream pie was out of this world. will definitely be going back.

Birthday Dinner Party. Wonderful atmosphere, great service and great food. The crab cakes are the best in the area and everyone that ordered the pork chops enjoyed them too. The highlight of any dinner at Rippington’s is the train and we were not disappointed this evening either. We love going back to Rippington’s and those that we introduce to the restaurant always find their way back too.
