  Price hike. I love Jasmin’s and it has been my favorite cheap eats in Raleigh but prices have steadily risen over the years. Disappointing. Still delicious but can find good affordable food elsewhere.

  So close. I have been very disappointed since moving to Raleigh that I cannot find a good gyro here. I grew up in Chicago, which has some of the best fast food Greek you can get anywhere, and Raleigh gyros just don’t seem to come close. Most of them don’t even get shaved off a spit, but come from prepackaged meat. And lots of them use watery tzatziki. The gyro I had at Jasmin was the closest I have come to quality Greek fast food. The meat comes off a spit, but is often left in a warmer instead of being shaved fresh. And the meat would have benefited a lot if it was crisped up on the grill a bit after shaving it off the spit.

  Bad experience, but will try again.. The food was OK, but not reasonably priced for the portions. I paid around $8.50 for a drink, side of falafel, and a very unauthentic tortilla-wrapped chicken shawirma that barely had anything in it. The chicken was dry and not freshly made. To top it all off, there was a hair inside one of the falafel. I’ll probably give it another try since the food at least tasted good, but there are so many better Mediterranean places in the Triangle — namely The Urban Turban, where I could have gotten the same meal but fresher, tastier, and cheaper.
