Disappointing. Called and requested a coconut cream pie. Picked it up after work, went to a b-day party and it wasn’t right. Called to get it rectified , 1st convo with manager- she never apologized, gave me excuses & when I asked the $, she never mentioned a discount. I called back later to ease my temper, she finally apologized and told me I didn’t give her a chance to offer a discount, that was not true at all! This is not my 1st mishap with them so I will not make anymore request with them!
Bad Customer Service. I am really saddened to have to post this negative review. I have loved this bakery and have enjoyed many of their bake goods for over the past 20 years. But I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED with Apple Annies customer service on my last custom cake order for my Fathers 70th Birthday Celebration this last March. My mother and I had placed a custom order for a sheet cake to serve over 80 guests; the cake cost over a $120.00. The cake I ordered was a vanilla cake with one half filled with strawberry and the other half filled with pineapple ( a white cake with pineapple filling was one of my Dads favorite desserts). The cake was iced with white and chocolate icing. The cake was picked up from the bakery on the Sunday of the party and then the cake was taken to the restaurant. When the cake was cut and served by the restaurants staff I noticed that cake was chocolate, not the vanilla cake I had ordered. But because the party was a success I really didnt see the point in complaining. But I have just learned that my Mother did call Apple Annies the morning after the party to address what had happen with our cake order. My mother was rudely asked by a staff member of Apple Annies bakery, Why didnt we notice the cake was wrong before serving and if the cake really was wrong we should have returned the whole cake. What?? Really??? Like anyone hosting a large catered event with over 80 guests would ever asks their guests to not eat the cake and please return the cake to the servers??? Apple Annies offered my mother nothing for their mistake, not even an apology. So if you are reading this review and thinking about using Apple Annies for a custom cake for your special event you been warned!!!
