Not a sushi connoisseur by any means but the roles I had were good. Came in at lunch time and sat at bar. Service was slow possibly because I sat at bar instead of at a table. Got the all you can eat but because of slow service wasn’t able to take advantage of how I would have like to.
Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else. I was really hoping to like Blue Asia. Unfortunately, it was abysmal on two fronts: food quality and service. A death knell for the restaurant.Admittedly, with all you can eat sushi, your standards may have to be sacrificed somewhat. However, I just couldnt sink as low as Blue Asia does in the quality of their sushi. Stale, tasteless, and ill-prepared.And the service just made the experience worse. My first order of sushi arrived AFTER my family had already finished their meals. Knowing that things were going to be slow, I ordered another plate at this point. Thirty five minutes later, after several inquiries to the wait staff, I finally gave up and cancelled the whole thing. However, they still tried to charge me for the all you can eat sushi, even though I had only had 7 mediocre pieces in my 70 minutes there! After several clueless wait staff conversations (Well, you did eat some sushi, didnt you? So theres nothing I can do.) the manager generously offered to only charge me the price of a full special roll rather than the all you can eat. There are some really good sushi restaurants in Wilmington. Blue Asia is not among them.
So delicious! The sushi rolls are great. All made to order, fresh ingredients.. sometimes it takes a while when its busy..but well worth the wait. Great deals on sushi. All the entrees I’ve tried are delicious too. Definitely a favorite of mine.
Not for a real sushi lover. The service was horrible although our server was very nice. The AUCE is what is to be expected; sub-par sushi. The raw fish was terrible. The spicy tuna was a very light pink (more mayo than fish?) but decent flavor, and the salmon had a terrible fishy taste. The only rolls that were worth anything were the tempura rolls and how can you go wrong when it’s fried? Not saying very much there.Stick with Bento Box or Nikkis for fresh sushi. I only recommend this place if you have a tight budget and need to get some sort of a sushi fix.
The service is horrible, I had to beg for a refill on my beverage at least 5 times. The food took over an hour to come out not to mention my sushi came out warm instead of cold. Then when I complained to the manager she just kind of blew me and my friends off and let the server handle the ordeal. I am not a fan and you will definitely never catch me at Blue Asia again!
Please don’t go here. Worst dining experience I’ve had in Wilmington. We waited (very literally) an hour after we were seated for TWO rolls of sushi, then when it came it was far inferior to any other sushi I’ve had. The manager was less than sincere and gave us a whopping 10% discount off our bill, and wouldn’t even come to our table herself to apologize. We will definitely not be going back. Waste of money.
Definitely go for all you can eat sushi lunch. Only $11! Decent food and pleasant atmosphere.
