The worst service ever!! But not by the waitress, it was the owner who was upset that I had sent my shrimp and grits back because they were not hot enough! He was yelling in the kitchen that it was hot enough at he wouldn’t hear them any more. The 3 of us got up and paid for out drinks, while we were paying he came out and started yelling at me that the food was hot enough…seems If I was the one paying and eating then that would be my decision to make!!
Better food at Waffle House. Breakfast was average at best, extremely slow service, but worst of all…loud cussing from somewhere in the back. Some man was dropping the F-bomb hard and heavy. Loud obnoxious voice. Will never go in the place again.
I was excited to try Bon Appetit after hearing such good things, but I was disappointed. Perhaps my expectations were too high? I went late on a Saturday morning and had the chicken biscuit and pancakes. The biscuit was tasty, but cold and definitely not fresh. The chicken was quite good, however. The pancakes were really disappointing. While they were hot, they were way too heavy – and with much the same texture as the biscuit. Even worse, rather than using real maple syrup, the restaurant supplied Mrs Butterworth’s, which I confirmed when I saw the staff refilling syrup containers. I’ll likely give it another try because my friends rave about the shrimp and grits, but my first impression of the food was underwhelming. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and attentive.
Food is tasty. Portions are generous with good value. We have had no service issues. Best eggs benny in town but only available on weekends.
Hidden gem!. You wouldn’t know from the outside, but inside is the coziest Mom & Pop shop in the area. Not only do they always have a massive list of specials, but their menu is incredible. Breakfast or lunch, I have yet to be disappointed. The restaurant is very small and can get crowded quickly, but the staff does whatever they can to quickly clean off tables and have you comfortably sitting, ready to order. Relatively cheap, yet quality food served every time!!!
Food is always good.. Took a good friend there this morning, we waited a long time to be welcomed. Food was good as always but the service won’t bring us back. Maybe for take out.
****. Used to be one of my favorites but after hearing the staff dropping the F*** word while we were sitting at the bar and complaining about how they didn’t want to be there, we said we wouldn’t go back. BUT THE FOOD IS AMAZING.
