Stopped in early last week for breakfast and started with beignets and coffee. They were DELICIOUS! Heavy on the powdered sugar, but at least they were generous with it! My server was exceptional and so cheerful! I ended with the steak and eggs and was happily surprised by the potato hash that accompanied them. I’ll be back!
The charbroiled oysters were good EXCEPT they used margarine instead of the butter they say on menu. If you like the taste of margarine or can’t tell the difference between real butter and margarine, go here.Waitress was not rude but she did not come back to check the entire time and I wanted to ask her for lemon juice to put onto the oysters to try to make them edible. My boyfriend ordered the Jambalaya, and it was so salty that it was almost inedible.Never will go back.
Love the Bloody Mary! Good atmosphere!
Delicious. The charbroiled oysters are the best tasting ever! I had the crawfish touffe & he had the fried catfish. All of it was perfect. The waitress was very friendly and attentive even though she was slammed with tables. We’ve been here 3 times now, once this year and twice our last trip two years ago and everything was great.
Staff is too cool to smile.
Disgusted. I have loved Bourbon Street for the charbroiled oysters & have brought out of town guests there. However, the last few times I’ve been there (today) I have been extremely disappointed. The wine list is horrible, come on- I want a nice crisp white wine with my oysters, not something the color & taste of urine. This is the opinion of the guests I’ve brought the last 2 times. Today’s oysters where the size of baby clams & I was charged $18.00for them. Totally not worth my $55 tab. Want to get in touch with the owner as this has been my experience the last 3 times. Will NOT be back until a new name is on the building. Way to ruin a good thing. BTW : staff is great, manager/owner suck.
A tourist trap. It is hard to describe how underwhelming this restaurant is. The food is ill-prepared and misidentified. (Tilapia and catfish cannot pass for the other.) Terribly greasy and not at all cajun or creole. I miss proper louisiana cuisine, but didn’t find it here. The staff should be actively looking for other work. Won’t last long.
