  I’m new to the Wilmington area and I am looking for the best places locals go. I was told this was one of those places. I would say for what I wanted, decent value to money ratio. The fried fish was excellent. They had sole, whiting and catfish on the bar. That was enough for me. The veggies and salad bar were just okay. The veggies needed more seasoning. They also had all you could eat crab legs for additional money. I did not partake I’m that, I was happy with the fried fish, mashed potatoes corn and lima beans. I would say it’s okay if you want to get full and you don’t mind cafeteria type food. Nothing special but you will be full when you leave. OH and gotta mention this. They had a entire bar for Cracklin . I get a kick out of that. Only in the South. They were good too !!

  Best Home Cooking Around. The food is great and at a good price! I love the atmosphere there. And the owners are always pleasant and aiming to please. You have more than BBQ to choose from. So if good home cooking is what you are looking for, then Carolina BBQ on South College Road is the place to go! I eat there all the time. 🙂

  Visited a few weeks ago. Looking for some of that world famous NC Bbq you all brag about. I didn’t find it here. This place was nasty , the food sucked, The place was dirty and nasty. Waitress was pleasant and freindly if this is NC’s best BBQ I’m going to Texas.

  This place was awful. I will never go back again! The bathrooms smelled horrible and the food was less than desirable. The bbq tasted like it came from a can and was very bland. They did not have a good selection of sides either! The service was ok but the people were honestly kind of creepy! I would not recommend this place to anyone!

  Former Customer Of The BBQ. I have been going to the bbq for about 2 years now and lately I have been very disappointed in what they have to offer the customers. Every day the menu is the same, and the deserts are not exactly worth checking out.I was there just yesterday, and let me tell you, I hardly ate anything at all. Nothing even appealed to me. I even told the waiter that their menu sucked big time.I am probably not going to be going there anymore. It just isn’t worth it.I rate this on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 a high, I would give it a minus zero.

  What is that stuff?. I recently visited this buffet with a group for a holiday party. Several people in the group were regulars & had raved about it. The biggest thing I can say is go brave. There are no labels on any of the food. If you have allergies, this is not the place for you.I have never been with a group that ask each other more times… what did that end up being? Most veggies seemed to be the standard canned fair.
