Just happened to stop in for dinner. Wow! Glad we did. The food was terrific. Wait staff was very knowledgeable and guided our selections. We enjoyed their price fixe menu for the night, although you were able to order off main menu also. The lobster gnocchi was wonderful. Beautiful building and very nice bar area. Great for a romantic evening out. Found out that owner has 4 other restaurants in town. Been to a couple others and they are all wonderful
For atmosphere, great food, friendly service, and an overall positive dining experience, you have to visit Circa 1922. The dishes are well executed and flavorful. You will find your classic fare with a twist, but you can also explore something unique. I always enjoy an evening spent at Circa.
Excellent service always. Would highly recommend the wedge salad, stuffed peppers and mussels. The entrees are not big by any means so plan to order an app.
Great service and food. We went here after work for appetizers and drinks. The martini was well made and the crab cheesecake and other small plates that we shared all tasted great. Nice atmosphere, too.
Overrated. We were so excited to go to Circa 1922 on a weekend trip to Wilmington. When we arrived, they put us at a table in a section where two large (unusually loud) groups were having parties. We asked immediately to be moved, and the hostess and an older woman were incredibly rude about it. Our charcuterie was good, but the entrees were disappointing. I had a dish that the menu said came with baby carrots, but the plate literally had one carrot less than an inch long. We skipped dessert after a disappointing experience. There are too many other good places to go in Wilmington for us to go back again.
THUMBS WAY UP!!. Absolutely perfect evening – great service, delicious food, and nice environment. All 7 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals – we had everything from the carpaccio, mozzarella salads, fried shrimp, mussels, ribs, steak, perfectly cooked – really, we all raved about it! Upscale but not too pricey (although the cheapest wine was $55 a bottle, a pino noir – but also delicious). For a special meal, go there!!!!
Can’t complain. Circa has the most perfessional service out of any other restaurant in Wilmington. I would consider this a date night restaurant but I wouldn’t recommend this as a first date because the tables are really close together to where you can’t really hold private conversation. The menu is fun and the food was great but the portions are extremly small.
