Delicious food, but sometimes it’s a slow service lunch day. Usually when males are the wait staff is it slow! Sadly, that maybe be nepotism. At any rate, it is very clean, the food is quite delicious and they’re friendly! That is what counts for me, but when I’m stuck on a half hour lunch break, I order in advance for take out, and it’s WIN WIN! Really great atmosphere, as well!
Delicious food, excellent ambiance and great service. The beef and cilantro soup was very fresh and tasty (it is a big bowl) The Hong Kong noodles that my fiance ordered are also very very good, the jasmine tea is loose leaf tea, the welcome pickles (I got edamame and cucumber) are very fresh and the dinnerware is all high quality.
Excellent service, great food and nice ambience. Probably the best Chinese restaurant in Wilmington. Tried several other places, including to-go, but this place seems to be the most consistent in quality and taste.
Clean, serene, and true Chinese cuisine. We ate lunch at Double Happiness on Thursday July 31st. We were delighted with the food, cleanliness, real Chinese ambience, and the service. As former NY’ers living in Myrtle Beach we’ve eaten in Chinatown hundreds of times and were looking for a real Chinese restaurant in the Carolinas as an alternative to PF Chang and the takeout places. We found a gem in Double Happiness and will make the trip back often for that reason. Ignore the negative review on this website and try it for yourself.
Uptown girl. Sorry to say, second visit no better than the first. Just there on 7/22/14 and opened soiled and torn menu.Food arrived uncovered and cold. Never saw waiter again.
Wow, wow, wow….after hearing about this place on the radio my husband and I gave it a shot. It was fantastic, to the point I almost didn’t do this review to keep this place my secret ….but that wouldn’t be fair to them. Service and food are certain to make us regulars….Yum!!!
Firecracker chicken for lunch was amazing! I had almost given up on finding good Chinese in the Wilmington area until I stumbled across this gem! Portions are generous and prices are pretty decent considering the quality you’ll receive. I highly recommend Double Happiness and will be returning to try the rest of the menu soon.
