My wife and I had the opportunity to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary here. I had visited one time before for a business dinner meeting so I knew what to expect. Good food and good service. Expectations achieved, we had a wonderful meal. We began with the Hot Crab Dip, Broiled Snapper and Jumbo Shrimp stuffed with Ceabmeat. This dish reminds me of New England’s Legal Seafood. I grew up on their food. Very good. Those who have spent time in the New England area understand how iconic Legal Seafood. Well done Elijah’s.
Went for dinner on a Saturday evening. The patio seating and Cape Fear River view is so worth the wait! We started with warm crab dip and oysters Rockefeller. Both were incredible! I can honestly say it’s the best crab dip I’ve ever eaten. (I think it’s the horseradish they use.) My friend ordered the crab cake entree and asparagus. I ordered the steamed snow crab legs with Old Bay seasoned potatoes and corn. The portions were ENORMOUS. I’m still blown away by how delicious everything was. Cannot wait to go back!
So sad that, although the view is great and the food decent, the atmosphere is not conducive to having a nice dinner. Horrible band made conversation impossible and the manager was not helpful. We don’t just go to restaurants to eat, we go to enjoy each other’s company.
