Portion size was much too small for the price. The wait time is ridiculous. It’s not crowded and it took twenty minutes to come take our order and another forty minutes to get our entrees. French fries were good but stone cold. Skimpy with the noodles in a pasta dish! Mostly all sauce. Pretty much bland for all four of our separate dishes. To top it off, can’t find our waitress (Bre) when we need drink refills. Had to ask for refills, twice, and then somehow between my first drink and my second drink they ran out of root beer? She’s slow with everything, except picking up the credit card. She was speedy to pick that up!Definitely NOT worth it and not coming back the next time were in town. No wonder there was no wait on a busy Saturday evening. Atmosphere is nice, but that doesn’t make up for the only mediocre food (and that’s being generous) and slow service.
Went on a Friday night at 6:30. Server blamed the slow device on a rehersal dinner in the restaurant. However, when the food got to the take, all three entrees were cold. Very disappointed.
One of my favorite restaurants in downtown Wilmington! Pizza is good and the chicken parmigiana sandwich is an all-time favorite for me
Better than the Neighbors. Had an Arrogant Bastard beer to go with my very good burger. Was in town for a wedding and didn’t want anything fancy. Fat Tonys didn’t disappoint. Staff was friendly and knowledgable. Pick Fat Tonys over the others nearby. I made a mistake and went to another place for lunch the next morning before the wedding. Huge mistake. I should have stuck with Fat Tonys!
Go Tony!. Nice selection of beers with a charming, rustic tavern feel (not dive bar tacky). I haven’t tried the pizza but other dishes I found to be consistently good along with the service no matter how busy they are.
So what’s this low rating signify? Such negative waves, Moriarity. It’s a beautiful day. Can’t you say anything righteous? Nice patio overlooking the Cape Fear River, friendly service. Good selection of NC brewed beers on tap. Go for the Southern Gold Pale Ale which complements the Italian Club. My wife Oohed over her chicken salad on focaccia. For the nay sayers complaining about slow service there’s always the drive thru at Mickey D’s.
