Quality of food has declined. Flaming Amy’s used to be a go-to restaurant. (Judging by the crowds, it still is.) The tortillas were always pretty gummy, but the range of salsas and variety of offerings more than made up for that. The last couple of times we have been there, though, the food was much worse. The chips were old and greasy. The beans were hard. The tofu was rubbery. And on and on. I hope they’ll get it together soon–I miss it! I worry that maybe they’ve decided they don’t have to have high quality food: they are going to be packed anyway.

I used to live in Wilmington and this is the only restaurant I miss. Is it five star quality food? No, but its super fun and creative and the pineapple salsa is totally worth ordering online even though its still a little off in the jar. Don’t expect a proper burrito, if you come in expecting that, you are blind. Salsa bar awesome. Thai chicken nachos awesome. Fried chicken burrito awesome. Never ordered the tacos or quesadillas but that’s only due to the burritos and nachos always looks bigger and better.

Worst Burrito EVER. There is nothing at this place that even resembles a proper burrito. There is nothing Mexican about this place whatsoever. Very bland and tasteless. The annoying staff is made up of hipsters tattooed and pierced all over. Annoying. I don’t understand why this place does so well. I hated this place and will never go back

My boys LOVED the tacos. Daddy loved his burgeritto…. And honestly my shrimp maki burrito was to DIE FOR! I live no were near here and I’m SO SAD! I’ve been begging my hubby to take us again before we leave! It is def a Wilmington MUST!

Eh alright. I’m confused as to how this place is number one for wilmington? The foods average at best and I honestly prefer Chipotle bowls to Flaming Amy’s. I’ve dined here a couple time at the request of my friends and have never been blown away by the food. I will say the decor is pretty cool though.

I absolutely love this place! I honestly can’t go to Wilmington without picking up a burrito on the way out. I always tell people that it’s basically Chipotle but with better food and a wider variety of choices. Although I am not vegan or vegetarian, I have heard that it is able to cater to both lifestyles well. Not only is the main meal itself pretty great, the salsa bar has a fantastic selection and of different salsas that range anywhere from your typical tomato salsa to even pineapple and wasabi salsa. I strongly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great meal that is also quick and cheap.
