Me and my dear boyfriend both experienced a fantastic lunch this evening at Genki sushi. The wait-staff were all so friendly. We tried the edamame seaweed salad, I believe, which was very very good . We also ordered blue fin tuna nigiri, Naruto salmon roll, tempura tuna roll, rainbow roll and salmon roll, which were all equally fantastic. Overall I would gladly invite anyone who loves authentic Japanese cuisine to try this charming little place.
Hungry Traveler. I stayed at the Red Roof Inn next door. I popped in for some sushi. Read the reviews briefly, I didn’t know I was going to have the best Age Dashi Tofu in my whole life. I measure the caliber of a sushi restaurant by having Age Dashi. It was phenomenal. Made by a nice polite young lady.
Age Tofu. Beautifully fried tofu with epic deep sweet and slightly salt broth.
This is a hidden gem. Not fancy decor, but food is 100% homemade, true authentic Japanese. I don’t think there is any cream cheese in this place. I have found my new favorite sushi in Wilmington!
Best sushi I’ve had in the world. And I do mean WORLD. I’ve traveled all over but never stopped thinking about this place. I was happy to move back to the area because of this restaurant. Authentic mom & pop sushi like it’s straight from Japan.
Great service, everyone was super friendly and the food was equally as good. We had miso, sushi, and the soba noodle dinner and loved it all.
Love love it! Great hot green tea, enjoyed a house salad and miso soup, my husband had the egg drop soup, both tasty. Sushi rolls are decently priced, and very tender fish. Not chewy at all. Comfortable environment, service was great. We will definitely be coming back! They give you a homemade toffee candy at the end of your meal- yum!
