Lunch at Henry’s was disappointing. Bronzed salmon was overcooked and tough. Best thing we had was the 4 beans and rice side. Very slow service for a Saturday afternoon
Fantastic. I have visited Henrys on many occasions. The food is always excellent, nothing to complain about. The idea of a create to plate menu really appeals to me! Keep up the good work!
Visited Henry’s on 7/31 and had a wonderful experience. Our server Kat was very attentive and knowledgable of the menu! We will definitely be back! The food is also fantastic!!!
Gclef. A visit on 4/17 was very disappointing.Always liked Henry’s but they have a new chef and the food was extremely below par. Not even close to Henry’s previous standards. We ordered drinks and a crab dip and were continually badgered by the waitress to order. The watery salad dressings ruined the salads. The entrees of clams & linguine. Shrim & grits, and a calabash platter were awful. I hope they find a capable chef soon.
All Talk, No Taste. We had family in town and wanted to go out for a nice dinner before catching a show at the Cameron Art Museum. We picked Henry’s because we had heard good things about their food and it was close to the museum. The wait staff was friendly enough and the menu sounded promising….but the food just wasn’t good. We started off with the crap dip and it was okay. Not my favorite crab dip but not horrible either. The salads came next and while the potato was odd, it was still acceptable (yes, raw potato comes in the salad). I got the Tuscan shrimp pasta. It had shrimp, it had pasta….but no flavor. It was just a pile of slimy, oily pasta and a few poorly cooked shrimp.I ate two of the shrimp and knew something was off – either the shrimp were served past their prime or they were frozen and reheated. My father got the same dish as me but his came with sausage and shrimp. Maybe his would be better or more flavorful thanks to the sausage? No such luck. He was just as disappointed as me with the bland pasta. Other members of our party got the bbq chicken salad (bland), the four cheese pasta (bland), and the crab cake (bland). Needless to say ,we were extremely disappointed. We didn’t waste any more time or money and left before dessert. We will not be going back.
Uuummm. Really wasnt that fond of the brunch
A Wilmington Classic. Where to begin…the shrimp and grits, fabulous! The Mansion Salad (minus potato), phenomenal! The Lump Crab Cake…to die for! And the new Crate to Plate features are absolutely delicious. For lunch the sandwiches are great and the 4 beans and rice are my favorite side (or a tiny salad because I love their homemade dressings). Always a pleasure, always great service and always wonderful food.
