Sicilian man. Pizzetta’s food is not only reasonably priced, by tastes the way my grandmother used to cook. We ate dinner there a few months ago with some of our Italian friends, and we all agreed it was amazing!! The eggplant parmagiana and the calamari was better then I ever expected in the South. We go back every other week now, and will continue to do so. The only negative thing I can say is the language from a few of the older waitresses was not for the faint of heart. But the service was fine each time. On one occasion on a busy Friday night, the place was packed and there was a 30 minute wait, so my wife and I ate at the bar. Talk about unforgettable service!! The tall bartender took care of us, and really went above and beyond. We love Pizzetta’s, and we recommend it to everyone we know.
Veggie Pizza. Pizza with green and red peppers, spinach, onions and mushrooms.
Best pizza on the east coast
Great place!. This is our new favorite Italian place to eat in Wilmington. The Rigatoni Alla Zia with eggplant instead of chicken is to die for. Also the vegetarian pizza is amazing! We always have great service and you can bring your own wine in and they cork it for free. One time we had hard garlic knots, but that is the only complaint I have. I highly recommend this place!
Not again, crust soggy. We moved to Wilmington and our realtor said Pizzetta’s was the VERY BEST …well it was until I got too many soggy crusts that fell off onto my plate. Ever eat uncooked dough? It’s horrible to say the least, your stomach hates you. The middle of the pizza and the outer crust is NEVER cooked thoroughly. NEVER! 4 times, JUST 4 times I got the perfect pizza. JUST 4 times out of 20 times now. I keep track on their menu by the way so I do know what I am saying. The Stromboli’s Sausage & peppers are way better than their pizza and cooked thoroughly all the time. Dipped into the sweet sauce is very, very good. The spaghetti & meatballs is enough for 2 people by the way which is what I prefer from them now. Once, I got a pizza with ALL the meat, and it was so greasy I had to use paper towels to wipe up the grease from all the meats on the pizza, then toss back into a very hot oven to make it edible at all. That’s just SO WRONG. sorry, but the realtor was wrong. Perhaps buying just a slice and coke is the only way to go, as they are in a glass case and are re-heated perfectly while your in the restaurant. Add a tip and a coke and you have a $12.00 lunch which is too expensive in my book. Once, I waited over 75 minutes to pick up my pizza there and that too is JUST WRONG! Sorry folks, I’m not that picky of an eater, but when you pay for something, it should be cooked thoroughly. I learned how to make my own pizza’s after many failures now and am better off since I make a great sauce and buy the REAL cheese, not the fake mozzarella most pizza parlors use today. .
I am writing this before I even eat my food I am so impressed with this establishments customer service. I was vacationing in NC with my family and they accommodated us fantastically. Come here!
