Old tasting eggplant. First time at Pizzettas and sadly my last. I love eggplant and in my mind if an Italian restaurant can’t master eggplant parmesan it’s not a good sign. The eggplant was ribbon thin making the possibility of tasting eggplant an impossibility. What you are left with is a mouth full of breading. When I inquired the waitress told me it was made fresh to order. I’m not sure I believe that. It tasted of something that had been stored frozen with other items. It had an off flavor of something old and the eggplant/breading combination was so dry. So if it was freshly breaded and cooked for me, then the breading or oil is old. What’s worse is that after explaining to the waitress that it didn’t taste good and leaving it behind in the plate, she didn’t apologize, didn’t offer something else and she didn’t remove it from the bill. For that reason alone, my family will not return. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to a friend.
