ROKO – best service in town!. I recently had spaghetti there. It was my first visit – that is how I judge all Italian restaurants. Their spaghetti was very good. I was shocked at how wonderful the atmosphere was not to mention how perfect the waiter performed his job. It actually takes reservations and does not rush you to leave. I would highly recommend Roko to anyone wanting a great dining experience.

Wonderful food. Enjoyed the grouper. Very well prepared and presented. The lemoncello cake was delightful, refreshing, and a nice ending to a perfect meal. The owners of Roko and the servers are so accommodating and genuinely nice people. So fortunate to have this restaurant in our neighborhood.

Will Not Return. I was there once before and the meal and service were great. I have foodie visitors in town from New Jersey and I thought I would bring them there. The grilled caesar salad was cold yet the lettuce was charred at the ends but the rest was limp as if it had been sitting somewhere for an hour. The waitress told us twice our meal would be right out and 20 minutes beyond that she was going to check on it…again. When it arrived, my friend’s chicken on top of his pasta was overcooked. My other friend’s shrimp in the Shrimp Roko was also overcooked, and I got the special fish dish of the night and it was so salty I could not taste the fish. Their first meal in Wilmington, NC…so disappointing!

Delish! A great new addition to Wilmington.

Roko Italian Cuisine served my wife and probably the best meals we have ever eaten in Wilmington, and we have been vacationing here since the 70s. As other reviewers have noted, the artichoke appetizer is heavenly, chock full of nicely spiced hand-minced vegetables. (We know they’re manually chopped because our server, a culinary student at CFCC, waxed poetic about the chef’s technique.) My wife had the grouper special: a large filet encrusted with three kinds of chopped nuts, baked to fork flaky perfection with a side of scampi sauce. I enjoyed Flounder Ana, a filet flecked with prosciutto, dredged in egg, and sauted in a white wine sauce. Our sides included herbed, roasted red potato chunks and a melange of haricot vertes, onions, and slivered almonds, both perfect complements to our fish. We selected an unoaked Italian Chardonnay from a modest list that included local wines and beers. We were too full to sample dessert. To round the evening out, we had an extensive conversation with our hostess, one of the owners, who revealed how a couple from Croatia ended up cooking Italian in Coastal Carolina. If you want to hear the story, as well as sample some of the most lovingly prepared and delicious food available at any price, you’ll just have to visit Roko Italian Cuisine yourself.

Almost world class–for Wilmington. Great ambience, enthusiastic staff and great flavors. Can’t wait to return.

First Class Restaurant. I’ve dined at Roko six times since they opened. This restaurant is as good as it gets, every meal has been exceptional, with the Shrimp Roko and the Flounder Anna, being two of my favorites. Simple Italian food expertly prepared. Matt the waiter knows the menu and his service is superior.
