Changed my Mind. I reviewed this after having a delicious meal there. Now I have to agree with diners, who said it is not good. I just had surgery just before Mother’s Day and my husband asked me what I wanted for dinner for Mother’s Day evening.I said a Sampler from Something Fishy. He called it in because I could not go out. It was AWFUL.. None of the seafoodwas even warm, let alone hot. The breading did not stick to the food. The hushpuppies were old, cold and dry and the slawtasted like it had been taken off somebody’s plate, who smoked and did not eat it, so they saved it to serve to usIt was not cold. Not worth the money and menu is deceiving. One this menu is obviously out of date. I got an order to go the combo 3 asked for the sizes as on menu there is small and large but when I got there it was one size at 13.95 which wasn’t to bad but than she charged 4 for tax? It ended up being 17.95. Over 2.00 for a sm cup of Pepsi. Drive the extra distance go to Bowman’s on Carolina Beach. So much better than their below average seafood. I eat seafood at least 3 times a week. Won’t go there again..
Funny name, good food.. The place isn’t much to look at but the staff is nice and the food was good. $7.25 for a flounder plate with two sides, I liked the okra and banana pudding. The hush puppies were yummy too. Tacky decor and awkwardly quite dining area but for the price its a good mom and pop shop.
Great place. I was told by a friend to stop in while on vacation. I enjoyed the service and the food.
Not happy. The steam platter had no flavor, everything was bland worst seafood ever.
Loved It!!!!!. Went to visit a friend in Wilmington and she treated everyone here for lunch and I must say I enjoyed everything I ordered. The food was very fresh and hot. They give you more than enough food, enough that two people can share one meal. We had a party of six and we all ended up having to get take-home boxes for our leftovers. If you are ever in the Wilmington area be sure to eat here. I’m from Florence, SC, and we have no good seafood places. We have to travel to find good seafood, Myrtle Beach is the nearest place. BRING SOMETHING FISHY TO FLORENCE, SC!!!!!!
What a disappointment. Obviously frozen seafood. Bland and unexciting. The food is edible, but stay away from the shrimp.
