  • Dark ambience. We love this place! It's so dark and chill. Great place to go for girls night or a romantic dinner. Food is super yum, martinis are goo…

  • Beware of Cake Charge!. Don't go here for a birthday party! If you bring a cake, they will charge you $10 just to eat YOUR OWN cake! Even after a $200…

BEST Italian in TOWN. I have lived in Wilmington my entire life, & there is a reason Terrazzo has been here for more than ten years, despite all of the other restaurants that open & close!! The management & staff are a class act!! The owners are always there, taking orders and working hard, which is in my mind what makes this place remain great! Family establishments just seem to have better customer service. In my experiences I have NEVER had a bad meal. I once received bread that was a little hard, and simply told our server. She apologized profusely & explained it must have been in the warmer a bit too long. She went and made a fresh batch of bread (totally worth waiting a few minutes) & actually thanked us for letting her know so that no other customers would have the same experience. Our food is always great (whether delivered or eaten in the restaurant). I love the Chicken & Penne Naxos & if they ever have the Seafood Risotto, GET IT!! Also a must have is the COCONUT CAKE, which isn’t on the menu, but if you’re lucky they will have it.This is BY FAR the BEST Italian in town!!!

Wonderful Experience. Me and my husband came to Terrazzo last night for a wonderful date night experience on Friday night, thankfully we were given just that. The restaurant was extremely busy but it wasn’t hectic. All of the servers had a smile on their face even though they were racing around. We sat at the bar for a little bit to enjoy a pre dinner cocktail… hey the kids were with the babysitter, who wouldn’t? ha.. the atmosphere in the bar/lounge was such a nice vibe and the bartenders were so helpful when it came to choosing a martini. We were seated fairly quickly for how busy it was and the service was impeccable. I ordered one of the specials, a mixture of seafood and sausage, and let me tell you… mmmm..mmm..mmmm… it was delicious! My husband ordered an Italian classic lasagna and he said it was one of the best he has ever had. I must say that i was thoroughly impressed with everything Terrazzos had to offer last night, between the service, menu, and just the awesome vibe that was given off I will most definitely be coming again. Hopefully sooner rather than later!

Wonderful!. Terrazzo is one of my favorite restaurants in Wilmington. Each time I go, the food is always great and the staff is so friendly. They have a wonderful selection of wines and each of their entrees is delicious. I have never had a bad experience and will continue recommending Terrazzo to friends and family!

Awesome!. I went to Terrazzo for my girlfriend’s birthday last week and had a great experience. We arrived a little early and there was a short wait, which was perfect because we were able to grab a cocktail at the bar. Even though the bartender was busy, she took the time to go over the martini list and suggested my girlfriend try the Wrightsville Breeze martini, her specialty. I was pleasantly surprised that they actually had a gluten-free beer available so I took advantage of that (I know, why go to an Italian restaurant if I can’t have gluten). We were brought to our table and our waitress noted my gluten-free beer so she alerted me that not only does Terrazzo have gluten-free spaghetti, they also have gluten-free pizza and ravolis! I got the ravolis with sauce- tasted just like my grandmother used to make! I saw another table with meatballs and I was so jealous! My girlfriend ordered the Eggplant Margarita, a special. It smelled so fresh and delicious!!! After dinner, the waitress brought zepplois for my girlfriend’s birthday. After dinner we decided to have another martini in the sofa lounge and contemplating what we would be ordering the next time we visit Terrazzo (which will probably be next week). I want to note that, as a lesbian I always feel a little uncomfortable the first time at a new place but the friendly staff never acted anything but pleasant to me and my girlfriend. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food and great service.

Seriously? Not a good deal…. $13 for bland spaghetti, really? Come on now….ridiculous. I paid $20 for the Chef’s special at ROKO, the Italian restaurant across the street….Broiled/Seared Grouper w/ 2 sides & $5 for a martini, more food, better food, and definitely more delicious… I’ll be going to Roko.05 Jun, 2012Blah blah. OK, my best friend loves italian food so we wanted to try this place. I usually get the spaghetti & meat sauce everywhere I go b/c I don’t like the cream sauces usually and the red sauces are watery at most places, I don’t know why and people have even assured me that theirs is not, but it always is. So I orderd the spaghetti & meat sauce. The service was prompt, we recd our food in a reasonable amount of time, and they were busy so that was a good thing. Her’s was good she said (her sauce was watery, big surprise) and when I saw my spaghetti I was so pleased, NOT watery at all, huh?! I’m a big foodie and the portion size was also impressive, we’re off to a good start! I take my first bite and what the hell? There is literally NO flavor to my sauce. It’s like meat and tomatos were mushed up together…& I like both of those, but when you think italian pasta sauce you assume there’s going to be some spices mixed in there. My friend tasted it, she said the same. If I’d purchased Prego Traditional Sauce at Harris Teeter I’d have had 10x the flavor, no lie. Not sure what happened, if it was a fluke or what, but COME ON, how do you mess up spaghetti? As I said, the service was good, but our waitress was a little off, kept closing our bill out and we’d order another glass of wine and she seemed confused that we wanted another glass of wine, she’d go get i then we’d recv another bill….weird and obviously more work for her but whatever? Why not just wait until we’re done and THEN total it all up, seems easier. Bottom line, you should go to Roko Italian, it’s pretty much across the street on the side of that Harris Teeter shopping center. I ate there last night and was absolutely amazed at everything and WILL be going back. In fact, because Roko was THAT good it reminded me about the place that had the bad spaghetti, so I did 2 reviews today! I won’t be back here, I will go to Roko, the price, atmosphere, service and most certainly the food is a million times better.
