Skip this place. Wired on Wrightsville has an identity crisis. This place can’t decide whether it wants to be a cafe, coffee shop, or bar, and because of this can only offer medicore quality at best. The baristas are good, the product however is inconsistent in quality and the prices are expensive for what you get. I have had better quality at Java Dog downtown in the Cotton Exchange. Some days the mochas are exactly what you expect and other days the expresso taste drowns out the chocolate. Their smoothies and milkshakes range from eat with a spoon consistancy to soup. Food consists of pre packaged candy bars, ice creams, crackers and biscotti. Don’t let those bagels and cookies fool you, they are bought from a big box retail store then re wrapped, nothing fresh about them, I know this to be the case because I’ve been in the establishment while this was done. They tout entertainment but several times said entertainment has canceled at the last minute leaving nothing but the jukebox and tv for noise. There are video games and of course pool tables in the back but nothing spectacular. The most entertaining thing I’ve seen in there is young girls hitting on married men and guys trying to score their one night stand. I wouldn’t recommend taking your children in this place because no one seems to mind flinging the curse words around and dressing, at times, like they belong in a club looking for a hook-up. I’ve been in more than once to this establishment, each time thinking it will be better, sadly I’ve been disappointed each and every time. Move along folks, nothing worth stopping for, really.
