Food and service is good- but there is a huge fail when you walk into the rear of the place and into the bathrooms. Thank goodness I didn’t walk in here first- I would have walked straight out the front door! Come on guys- if you want to be an upscale place spend the money and clean up the bathrooms.
Very nice food. Great atmosphere. Very attentive waitress. Had the shrimp and grits. Some of the best I’ve had. Very reasonable prices. Def go back when in the area again.
The food was great and our server was very attentive and helpful. It should only be two $ signs- the prices were very reasonable. Menu choices are all local and fresh. Only downside was the decor- you can tell it is turned from fant restaurant to bar at night…
Very Pleased. Having lived in Wilmington for about three years, I’d passed this place for years and had yet to try it until tonight. Very impressed. Good Corn Chowder as an appetizer, wonderful marinated catfish as an entree, and an amazing chocolate cheesecake for dessert. This will definitely be a go-to from now on!
The food was seasoned well. Our only complaints were the mildew smell when we walked in and our waiter brought us the wrong appetizer. He told us to go ahead and eat it so we did. The manager then came up to us and told us he was going to take the appetizer away even though he saw us eating it. So he charged us half. Talk about making things awkward. I’ve never seen management handle a situation quite like that. Food was ok. Not sure if we would come back.
Best bar on the beach. Have been coming to the double deuce for years. People complain about it being packed, but what are they supposed to do about that? Coolest bartenders on in the Port City.
Like it.. Probably one of the more popular bars on the beach bar circuit. Will be insanely packed on weekends, especially in the summer. Plan on waiting a while for a drink.
