Had the braised ribs and they were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Crab soup was stellar as well! Went for a work lunch, and although it was a little pricey for what I’d typically do for lunch it was 100% worth every penny. The staff was friendly and super attentive which only added to the experience! Will absolutely return!!!
The misconception about Port City Chop House is that it is too expensive to eat at. Lunch is totally doable for discriminating tastes on limited budgets. A lot of the meals are around $12. The other misconception is that they only serve steak. My favorite is the French Quarter Chicken – a spicy dish of chicken breast, shrimp and andouille in a spicy tomato sauce on top of their version of dirty rice. At $12 for lunch, I always leave fully sated and happy. The plush booth seats and quiet elegance were nice as they had music from the 60’s playing lightly in the background and I saw more than one baby boomer subconsciously tapping a beat during lunch. Don’t overlook this restaurant when you need a great lunch.
