Poor Service – Union Grove location. This review is for the second location in Union Grove on Hwy 901, just off exit 65.I’ve eaten here 4 times now.The food’s all right, it’s nothing to write home about, but it’s priced decent. The service however, has been sorry all four times. The first time standing out the most.My wife and I arrived after lunch time when there was hardly anyone there and sat at the bar right next to the cash register. We waited and waited and waited as the waitress walked by, texted on her phone, and even served another customer who came in after us and sat next to us. Having sit there that long already we just figured we’d stick it out. She finally got disinterested with her phone enough to actually take our order.Took a while to get the food. It wasn’t fantastic, but not bad either. We understand the time it takes to actually get it to us because in a restaurant like this they don’t just throw something in the microwave. After we were done I went to the register to pay and the same girl was just standing there behind the register texting on her phone. She looked up briefly and then continued her message.I stood there for what felt like and eternity before she finally decided she would begrudgingly take my money. God forbid she should have to take money from me.Without writing a book, the other three times have been more of the same. Poor service all around. The only way we spend money at Debbie’s anymore is take out, which we are loathe to do when The Korner Kitchen and The Neighborhood Grill are both nearby as well. Both of these being conscious of how they treat their customers and having better food as well.
You’ll never leave hungry. I wasnt blown away by the delux burger I got, but it was good. It was 1/2lb of meat and they were not shy with toppings of mayo, lettuce, tomato, and pickles and onions. What I really went for was the great desserts and pies that everyone talks about. The waitress said her favorite was the chocolate cake hot fudge sunday. I got it, and it definitely delivered. It barely fit in the to go container and was covered in tons of hot fudge. The ice cream was rich, and the cake was moist and rich as well. The only complaint I have is that I got my lunch to go, and she brought the dessert to me about 10 minutes before my burger, so I had to eat it first so the ice cream wouldnt be all melted by the time I ate my lunch. However, it was so good that I kind of forgot about the burger. I will go back next time Im up that way, and eat lunch in. I think I’ll keep going back as many times as it takes to try each dessert at least once.
The food and the prices are great! They have the best hot dogs ever! However they do need to expand between 15-20 cars and to go orders the place does it cramped up and the wait can take a little to long. But the food and the very nice staff make it a enjoyable experience! I eat there atleast 3 times a week
I have eaten at Debbie’s Snack Bar twice, only to draw mixed reviews. On one hand, the food is great. The menu offers several items, including burgers, fries, plate dinners, salads, and daily lunch specials. Prices are appropriate for the items. The staff are always polite and courteous. On the other hand, the building is old and it shows the toll from many years of satisfied patrons. The tables are cramped and narrow, and for parties of 4 or more, you are out of luck.Overall, Debbie’s is a good place to eat, but the atmosphere could use a face-lift. I will return so long as the food quality does not decrease, but it’s not on my top-five list of favorite places to eat in Yadkin. B-
Best burgers ever!!!. This is the find of the century! We have lived in this area for years, and had never stopped. We are now addicted.Best burgers we have ever had, at low, low prices. Then there are the pies!!!! Oh my goodness,,sin in a bow!!! The apple caramel nut, and the nutty chocolate pie, both with ice cream are to die for.We will be very repeat customers.
Bullsh**. First of all I was one of the staff working that night and you were offered a cheeseburger for your troubles. But you apparently did not think that was enough and you were very rude and called another staff member a b****. Now do you really think that was very nice of you considering we were being nice until then.To anyone that has ever eaten with us knows that the food is good and we stay pretty busy. And we admit that sometimes an item may be left out or fixed wrong but we aways fix the mistakes or credit you for future orders.
Missing food from togo order on jan.30 10. Missing food on to go order on the day it snows & iced!! Called the owner & they did not want to give anything extra for the trouble & gas of going back!! The people working on Jan 30, 2010 were very hateful & thought they did not owe anythng extra for coming back to get missing order. The owner did not want to give anything for the trouble of at least a $30.00 order for all that we ordered. All we asked was for them to repsect that we came in the snow & icy weather & give us something for the trouble & gas for coming back to there. RESPONSE was either or nothing extra!! What’s up with that… that is not a good business since…BEWARE TO CHECK YOUR ORDER B4 YOU LEAVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!
