Great atmosphere. Staff hustled- was greeted quickly by the hostess; our waiter, David, was attentive and menu knowledgeable. Drinks from bar were well-made and tasty. Food was great. Highly recommend.
Bismarck resident. I have eaten at the Bistro several times. Every time it was excellent!!! I have had several different items on the menu and have never, ever been disappointed. I took a friend from Florida and she cannot wait to eat there again. I definitely will recommend The Bistro to friends!! Keep up the great work!
Great Dining Experience at Bistro. I had a wonderful experience at the Bistro recently. We dined in the lounge as some in our group were interested in the lighter offering on the lounge menu. The full restaurant menu is also available in the lounge. I ordered the Braised Lamb Gnocchi which was exceptional. The servers were attentive and friendly. The live acoustic music made the experience even better. If I I ever return to Bismarck, a return to Bistro is a certainty.
One of the Best in Bismarck. My wife and I went to the Bistro on a whim tonight. Our server, Kyle, was outstanding. He was always aware of where we were at in our meal and when he needed to stop by, without disturbing our conversation. We started with the Crab Cakes, which were very flavorful and moist. I had the Tombo Ahi Tuna (a.k.a. Albacore Tuna). It was cooked medium rare, served with soy glaze, Sesame-Ginger Basmati Rice, and fresh vegetables. I’ve certainly had better Ahi Tuna (Albacore is not often served as Ahi tuna) but this was pretty good considering where we are located geographically. My wife had the Lobster Ravioli, which was loaded with large chunks of lobster and very well cooked Asparagus with a Garlic Cream Sauce. We paired all of this with a nice Pinot Gris from J Vineyards. Overall, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the Bismarck-Mandan area. We’ll definitely be back.
Best place in Bismarck. Clean, cozy atmosphere, great service and AMAZING food and drinks! My favorite place in Bismarck!
First of all the wine and appetizers (crab cakes) were awesome! The negative started with the salads. They were dry with non-existent dressing and almost no bacon. I ordered my steak medium rare and got well at best. The steak was dry with almost no flavor, although the potatoes were good. The desert (crepes) are bland. I cannot recommend this restaurant at this time!
Probably the best kitchen in Bismarck.
