The homemade focaccia bread upon arrival was nothing short of magnificent. The chicken potstickers were delicious, but nothing to get too excited about. The red/yellow beet salad with goat cheese and spiced pecans with a small amount of a balsamic vinegar was out of this world. The earthy taste of the beets, the tang from the goat cheese, along with the sweetness of the spice candied pecan makes this a masterpiece. The venison sausage brought me back to my younger years hunting with my siblings, our cousins, our dad, and our uncles. The venison flavor shines, but not overwhelmingly so. The walleye/potato pierogies were different, but tasty. The bbq’d rabbit on potato/wild rice pancake was not successful. The bbq’d sauce tasted homemade but was just not what I was expecting. The rabbit was cooked properly and texture spot on. The staff was amazing and all in all I enjoyed myself. I’ll be back again to try new items.
Very Impressed!. We had a wonderful meal tonight. Nice, but still casual and unpretentious. It wasn’t quite as farm to table as I was hoping for, but I do feel as if everything was prepared well, and it was more creative than I anticipated. Our waitress struggled a little bit, but the hostess was nice and the people who refilled our water glasses were professional and on top of things. Overall, a good experience!
