Mediocre sushi. Purchased the lunch special: $7.99 for two rolls and soup. The miso soup tasted quite salty. I ordered the philadelphia roll and tempura shrimp roll. Although they were fresh enough, they simply weren’t anything special. Rather small portion, too. There are other, better options for sushi in town. I’d suggest another place where you could enjoy a lunchbox with a wider variety. Clean and comfortable seating. Pleasant waitstaff.
Amazing!. I am a new sushi lover and have tried several places in Fargo and in other bigger cities. I was hesitant with sushi at first because I am a big texture person and it could all go very wrong with Sushi. But I love love love this restaurant. Do no let the location and semi cheesy name fool you. Inside the restaurant is quaint, well decorated, and a calm soothing atmosphere. You don’t have to yell across the table to your friend/date. The sushi here is amazing and also insanely cheap. The texture of the wraps and rice are perfect, unlike Kobe’s were I find myself chewing and chewing and chewing. The staff are always very pleasant and quick with their service.
Great food, great atmosphere. Jim Council is wrong and should stick to those all you can eat buffets. Probably lives in a trailer park too.
Best in Fargo!!!. I first would like to give complements to the chef, his wife, and his service staff! Sushi 101 is by far, whith out question, the best place in Fargo for sushi. My girlfriend and I both love, i mean LOVE, sushi. We began our sushi adventures a little over a year now, and have been to all sushi places in Fargo several times and numerous sushi places in Minneapolis. Sushi 101 is chef owned, and is a family restaurant. Everything from the service to the atmosphere to the food is spactacular. DO NOT BE FOOLED by its location… it is pushed away into the corner and appears very small. Although it is not the size of others in town, it has a very neat feel, and I have never had to wait to be seated. The prices are fantastic and have free refills (unlike Kobes). They have some very unique menu items that have not been seen at any other restaurants. If NORI (seaweed wrapper on rolls) scares you, look no further, Sushi 101 was a soy rapper that is absolutely astonishing!
Good.. I’d stop by here again. Yum!
