A regular stop for us. We are Canadian, but go to Fargo frequently. We first came across this gem when staying in the motel next door. They have a $4.99 daily lunch special, and we tried that. Ever since, we come at least once every trip for their excellent food and great service.
Simply the best Mexican in the area. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for it – no brainer..
Finally!. I have been trying to find a decent Mexican restaurant here in town. Finally, after trying every other place, we found acapulco. Hands down, the best choice in town. Their salsa was very good, with fresh cilantro. The tortilla chips were warm and far from stale. My enchilada suizas were very good, the chicken was nice and tender inside. I wish the sauce was a tad stronger, but it was good despite that. My husband’s combo platter, which included a chili relleno, a taco, and an enchilada, came out very well presented. The cheese inside the relleno was nicely melted and the pepper itself was delicious. This will be our go-to place. Forget the rest.
A real disappointment. After reading the reviews here, we gave it a try tonight. It was awful. I ordered the tostadas with avocado and chicken. I don’t know if it was the refried beans or the chicken, but something was very watery and my plate was covered in liquid. It was flavourless and my tostada was hidden under lettuce and wasn’t that crispy because of the liquid. I am still hungry because there wasn’t much on my plate. I WILL NOT be returning.
Worth Checking. Food was authentic, tasty and fresh. Not as fancy as the others mentioned, but the food is much better. Wish it was a little easier to get to and the decor was a little nicer, but the food is excellent.
Very Authentic. Of all of the Mexican restaurants in Fargo, this is probably the most underrated and also the most authentic. While the restaurant itself is in a less than prime location and the building doesn’t have the elaborate decor of Paradiso or Mexican Village, is hot, delicious, and undeniably Mexican. The fact that the serving staff speak in Spanish to one another definitely adds to the authenticity of the restaurant.
Best Mexican restaurant in town. Hands down Truly authentic!
