  Great tasting drinks. We went in with my husband one afternoon. I usually get their white chocolate mochas which are the best, and my husband was undecided. He finally said he just wants a coffee. The barista went out of her way to ask him a lot of questions, things like if he likes sweet/ bitter, coffee taste strong or not, white or milk choc, and many others, i cant remember. He finally ordered an iced mocha with macademia nut, and he absolutely loved it. We will go again, even though their prices might be a little higher i think, but worth it.

  Ridiculous!. I went in one day with my boyfriend to get a coffee. We were commenting on the pasta salad in the deli case. The barista working told us it was delicious and we should get it. We followed his suggestion and spent the $8 on the dish. As soon as I was rung up and paid, I was told they were closed and I had to take my food in a to-go container. Granted, I should have checked the hours, but still, I would have rather had my $8 back than get the bait and switch treatment.

  SKETCHY DISCOUNTS. The owner is SO rude, every time I’ve gone into Babb’s the owner has been working. He has been overly rude to me every time I’ve been there asking simple quections about the drinks. He always responds like I should already know. Once someone in line got a discount called the PONEER discount when presenting a card, I asked the cashier how I could use the same discount and he told me you had to be a Jehova’s Whitness. I was SHOCKED that a local business would do something like this. The Better Buisness Bearou should really have thier noses in this one… TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM OWNER. DON’T GO THERE!

  Lost My Loyaly. I WAS a loyal customer of Babbs but over the last month my loyalty has faded. This last visit was aweful and embaressing. I had taken a friend to Babbs whom is from out of town. We waited for almost ten min for our lattes (which I dont mind, I was new as a Barista once too), when we did receive our drinks, the flavor tasted nothing like we ordered. The lattes were watered down, no full flavor (possibly watered down expresso) and not creamy with a hint of a nut flavor which would suggest the milk had possibly been burt. I dont mind waiting for a good latte, but all the drinks should be made the same ( such as the amount of expresso, syrup ect.). This is the 3rd time I have gotten a unsatisfactory drink from Babbs so I am now assuming that they dont train their employees, they just throw them under the bus. Never again!

  This is a cute place with a great downtown location but the service is awful. The final straw was when my arms were full of drinks and the three baristas were too busy chatting and staring at me to hold the door. Another customer got up to help me. I wish I could say the drinks were worth the rude treatment and slow service but unfortunately they are mediocre at best.

  Cooler drinks are expired, staff seems irritated by customers, owner/manager talks on phone while taking orders at the till. Not multiple bad experiences will keep me from going back…ever.

  First Visit. Went to Babbs with a friend, as I had never even noticed it before. Comfy chairs, darker interior setting, and yummy coffees and teas. This is a great place for a casual java fix, chat with friends, or camp out on the internet. Really, it’s a bit of a typical small urban coffee shop, but the atmosphere was far more authentic and relaxed than your typical starbucks-sterile experience.The munchies looked great! Someone try them! LOL
