Almost my favorite. I’ve been there 4 times now. I love the coffee! Service has always been great. I love the menu too, but haven’t eaten most of it yet. Two complaints: I’ve wanted the egg bake every time I’ve been there. Every time they were out of it. Every time was between noon and one. Maybe they should make more. I think it’s better to throw a little out everyday than to run out everyday. Also, 2 of the 4 time I’ve been there, they were really pushy about extras…..going table to table trying to sell muffins and GORP (which I bought and LOVED even though it was kind of expensive). This is a great restaurant and a great one of a kind addition to a city filled with chain restaurants!
Amazing. Fast service, fantastic biscuits and gravy (and I’m a tough critic), and. The kuchen…………idk who these other critics were but they were not eating at the same restaurant. I will be back!
First and last. If I had …. First and last.If I had a dollar for every time I heard the waitress say up charge to a customer, my breakfast would be paid. The food was sub par and the waitstaff was inattentive to detail and slow. Do yourself a favor and head elsewhere.
Not impressed. Decided to try out CJs for the first time. We won’t be back. We ordered a mushroom and cheese omelet and biscuits and gravy. Husband had a coffee (for 1.95, Is it really that expensive?) I had water. the waitress never asked or suggested juice or milk. His coffee cup was only refilled once and that after he had only taken a couple of sips from it. The omelet was good but not $8.95 good. All that came with it was two slices of toast. My biscuits and gravy were lukewarm and totally lacked any type of seasoning. My meal also came with fruit of the day, sliced up bananas, apples and pineapple. Even though they arrived well after I had finished eating my meal, they were a lot tastier than the meal was. We never received our bill, we could have easily walked out without paying, they were really lacking in the service department. The waitress, I think there was only one on duty, was too busy trying to find enough seats for a party of seven. Maybe we hit them on an off day but we won’t bother them again.
Great breakfast food and lunch sandwich’s as well. Staff was very friendly and peanut butter cupcake was insane!! For sure recommend.
Comfort food to the max. The service is fast, friendly, and fantastic! The servers know the food like the back of their hands and can recommend a variety of choices with ease. Speaking of food, dear Lord was it good! The pancakes, the biscuits and gravy… And don’t even gets started on the caramel rolls (which are to die for). If you’re looking for a fast, affordable, and fun place to eat: THIS IS IT.
My husband and I just had breakfast here. Pancakes are wonderful, service was great. Hubby had biscuits and gravy and thought it could be spicier and thicker. We will definitely come back. Cute little place.
