Cook for yourself. This was so bad, I tell myself just cook at home, I should’ve listened. I would have saved $175 and had 100tter food
Worst food for the money. Over cooked not fresh poorly prepared and expensive. enough said.
Much too expensive. The salad bar is great and if I went another time, I would fill up on that for $10. Had the walleye entree. Walleye was cooked great, but my choice in the couscous salad left much to be desired. Dry and uninspired. For nearly $30 I would expect much more. Crown on water was definitely not lacking on the water.
Worst Food and Service. My husband and I just left the Cork’n Cleaver. This was the worst food and worst service we have ever had at any restaurant. The best part was our drinks, which were gone before we were brought any food (which doesn’t ever happen). I ordered a sirloin and baked potato. The sirloin was cooked to my specification, but with absolutely no seasoning whatsoever, not even salt and pepper. My husband ordered the prime rib, which was also cooked correctly, but was quite bland, even with the au jus. What was even worse, my husband bit into a bone sliver. To top off our awful food, we were not checked on throughout our entire meal. We were both done eating and had been just sitting there for several minutes before our waitress came back just once. While our waitress seemed friendly enough, she was very unattentive even though it was not busy at all. During her one stop to our table after getting the food (when we were already done eating), my husband informed her we were not pleased with our meal and that he had bitten into the sliver of bone. Her response was to laugh. She did nothing to remedy the situation and did not even apologize. To say the least, we will never be returning and would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.
The way prime rib should be!. The end cut prime rib is amazing! Crusty on the outside, melts in your mouth!
Disaster in 2011 Actually Leaning Good in 2014. Eleven of us for a gathering for which we had a reservation last night. Table was not ready. Half of us received our food within an hour and a half and the other half had to wait and watch for fifteen minutes. Excuse: their ticket printer for the kitchen can only dangle six at one time so between the time of the first six being printed and the remaining five, another order was snuck in. We saw, and several in our party noted, another table in our section finish and leave and another party of five take their seat, order, eat and leave all about the time the second half of our party were served. At the price, we don’t really care about their ticketing system being inadequate. Do not take a party over six to this restaurant on a weekend when they are in over their heads. The food received varied comments to very good by some to they killed my steak. Their are alternatives in Fargo!Couple Years Later: Because my Dad is a great fan, we have continued to gather at the Cork. I must say that I do not know what has happened; however, in 2014 our steaks have been bang-on and the service has been quite good. We had a very good dinner again earlier this week. I owe it to them to mark this encouraging change. I’m now down for this being a pretty decent steakhouse in Fargo.
It’s been too long!. I have not eaten at the Cork for a really long time aside from an occasional app and a glass of wine. I do not remember the last time I have had a steak in town that good after eating there last night. Great little hidden gem of Fargo. I almost missed being a dishwasher there when I was in High School.
