Fargo Billiards and Gastropub is not a place I’d return to for the food but the pool hall and all the games make it a great place to get together.
The food is passable, but the atmosphere and the games are what makes this place great. My rating is for the food only. I would definitely recommend this place, but not if you want great food.
Awesome food & atmosphere!. I gave Billiards & Gastro pub a try for the first time and I must say I have been missing out! Very good service and a fun laid back place, our meals were cooked and served promptly. the food tasted great and was reasonably priced. Try this place and you will not be disappointed!
Full House. I took my parents to the Gastropub the weekend of the Fargo marathon thinking it would be a nice off beat place where we could get good food but avoid waiting for an hour. Well we didn’t have to wait, but we got the last table. This place was packed! Besides random patrons there were 4 parties going on. The atmosphere is nice and the service wasn’t bad but of the 3 meals ordered none were great. Guest 1 ordered a salad that came with a specialty vinaigrette, except they ran out of that and Italian dressing had to be substituted. Guest 2 ordered a basic patty melt but it was overwhelmed by what appeared to be an entire half of a raw purple onion. Guest 3 ordered a Reuben. Flavor was good but it was barely warm on warm bread, not the usual melted cheese and toasted bread. Cool place, and being this was my first time eating there i’m not sure if this is usual fare of if this was a staff caught of guard by the increased traffic. I’ll be back for some pool and a few parties but I’m hesitant to go specifically for a meal.
