Excellent meal away from the chain restaurants. We had an absolutely fantastic meal at the Hodo last night. We love coming to Fargo to shop but so much of the city’s eating establishments are uninspired national chain restaurants.The Hodo was creative, local and DELICIOUS! Both our server and the hostess were accommodating and it was not hard to get a reservation despite being a Saturday night of the long weekend. We will definitely be back to the Hodo on our next trip to Fargo.
Creative food combinations with local and exotic ingredients. Our server was also fantastic and when they lost our reservation were still able to accommodate us. Fantastic dinner, wine and dessert in a great atmosphere.
Our Favorite Go-To Place. The HoDo is our favorite Go-To place in Fargo. Great drink menu, excellent and diverse food, and funky/hip atmosphere. Great for meeting a group of friends for drinks and apps/dinner. PS: I had a jerk soup once that my boyfriend and I still talk about!
HoDo. Really nice place with good atmosphere, nice bar, great food. Only bad thing is that it’s too far (10 hr drive) from where I live! We had the Hummus Appetizer, Pan fried Walleye & Hangar Steak. Dessert was a Cobbler Trio…yum! Local foods & beers reasonably priced for the quality.
Wow. Our first stop on a road trip from WI to WA. We arrived late but were seated right away. Great wine and great food. The heirloom tomatoe salad was amazing served with basil gelato. Rack of lamb was to die for. the server was super nice about splitting the plate and never rushed us even though we got in quite late.
JBF Quality. Somewhat confusing sorting through the reviews, so just know that I didn’t go anywhere near the bar because it was crowded. I enjoyed the tasting menu and yes, this is certainly James Beard quality. Price was appropriate for such a meal, but that means its a bit high. But really, from what I can see, its a big step down from here in terms of restaurants in Fargo.
Fresh local food. Excellent food, prides themselves on local farmers for their ingredients. Service friendly and polite. Excellent use of flavors and herbs. Always interesting artwork on the walls.
