Been to Kobe’s a few times at this location. Sushi is always fresh, hibachi is hit and miss. Service has always been great, not sure I have ever had an empty beverage glass on my table. Recommended
I’ve grown to hate this place.. I used to be a frequent goer to Kobe’s because their food is absolutely fantastic. However, my boyfriend and I made a reservation four weeks in advanced for Valentine’s Day. I confirmed it a week before we actually went inside the restaurant. Getting there, they did not have our reservation, and did not provide us with a discount or anything. I went twice since I am a very forgiving person. Prom recently came up, and we wanted to sit at the grill. Now the grill gives a fantastic entertainment value for the money you pay, due to it being fun and entertaining. We wanted the grill because it would be a fantastic highlight of our night. We made the reservation again, four weeks in advanced. What happened? You guessed it! They didn’t have our reservation again. They would rather make money off of you, and ruin your very own prom night. Now I want you to think twice about this place, their service is pretty damn awful, but the food is worth it. What is in higher value for you? I’d definitely recommend Osaka over this place.
Very good, asked for a sushi roll that’s not even on the menu and they promptly made it! Good service .. Need to work on cleanliness a bit
Yummmmmm!. Don’t make my mistake and fill up on the fried rice so you can’t enjoy your perfectly cooked steak and scallops… the noodles are also quite flavorful if you choose to add the, plan on having left overs the next day. The hibachi is well worth the entertainment and the martini’s add a nice touch.
Poor sushi. PICTURE IS NOT WHAT I GOT[that’s what it’s supposed to look like]… I’m only commenting on the chirashi as the specialty rolls my sister-in-law had looked good and everyone else seemed to enjoy their teppan yaki [decent performance from the chef too]. I paid $20 for basically an appetizer on an over-sized plate. the sashimi was wafer-thin and I only got about a cup of rice too. I swear to god I would have got more food from the godzilla roll that I was eyeing before deciding on chirashi. $20 is a normal price for chirash [seen it as high as $35 at a really fancy place], but you will leave stuffed to the gills. Kobe’s chirashi is chincy as hell. the picture attached is what one would expect when they order chirashi. What I got looked like some overly gussied-up over-priced couple of mouthfuls of whatever you might get from some ultra-snooty french restaurant. Oh, and the soy sauce is watered-down or something like all the other bad reviews say.
Overpriced. Went to Kobe’s for the first time last night. There were 2 other couples with us. We thought the prices were kind of high for what we received. We ordered the shrimp shumai appetizer only to be told 10 minutes later they were out of that. So we ordered the chicken yakitori which was good. We both ordered the shrimp and chicken teppanyaki. The show was very short! We both enjoyed the chicken and shrimp but the shrimp was our favorite. Was not excited about saki being squirted in my mouth and then trying to be talked into doing it again by the chef. We’ve been to a teppanyaki restaurant before in another city and it was much better and far more reasonably priced with a better show. Our waiter didn’t have to do much for our party of 6, but they sure are quick to add the 18% gratuity. I feel gratiuty should not be automatic. If you’ve done a great job as a waiter/waitress I will certainly leave you a tip. When I choose to eat at a restaurant it is for the food, not the service. No one chooses to go to a restaurant because the service is great and the food is mediocre. If I’m going to spend money it is for the food. Between our entrees, appetizer and one soda, after the mandatory 18% our bill was $59 and some change. I just don’t feel it was worth $59.We may go back again but not anytime soon.
Amazing food, kinda slow service. I had the Olympic roll and it is the best sushi I’ve ever had.
