Don’t call ahead!. I recently called Lucky’s to ask about reservations and to ask how busy they were…being that we were bringing a party of 14 in. I figured it was the polite thing to do. I was curtly told it would be a three hour wait, and they were too busy to serve us. While thanking her and wishing her a good rest of her day, I was hung up on in the middle of talking. Rude! Poor customer service!
Keep in mind that this is a Pub. Keeping in mind that they don’t claim to be a high end snobby restaurant, I felt that the atmosphere of the pub was energetic and the food tasty. Service was friendly and attentive. Food portions were large at a fairly reasonable price. If you are staying within the area, it is well worth a visit especially on a weekend if a band is playing. Come hungry and thirsty
Wonder what it takes to get your order right?. 3 visits (I shouldn’t have gone back after the 1st) but I have yet to get my order right. So I have never had the opportunity to enjoy my full meal together or with my companions, makes for a very unpleasant experience. In addition the food is just mediocre.I am not sure what any fuss is about here.
I love it there, their daily special offers something you dont get elsewhere, staff is ultra friendly, quick and helpful, they set a great tone. Only drawback at all is lack of parking
You must try it!!. I have been to Lucky’s many times now and I usually try to order something new every time. They knock it out of the park every time. Some of my favorites thus far have been the Walleye Spring Rolls, Pot Stickers, Fried Pickles, the Chivito sandwich, the Monte Cristo, and for sure the pan fried Walleye!! Go check it out, but be prepared to bring home leftovers. Portions are HUGE!
You’re at a pub/bar people… The food quality is quite good for this type of setting. Some of the previous reviews are ridiculous… This is pub food, be realistic. Enjoyed my sandwich and apps.- The Diaper Pony
