Terrible All Around Experience. I will NEVER AGAIN visit! Most employees were unfriendly and/or impersonal. Atmosphere is lacking, and certainly not Mexican. Food is mediocre, at best, and overpriced. I have even seen dirty menus and forks. Also, why don’t they include knives and spoons in the napkin rolls?! I have only visited because friends wanted to go but I can’t stomach the idea of returning after I saw a little girl throw up in a mop bucket used by a host, and over a lot of the floor. She was just leaving with her family. Since she’d come in at the same time I’d had, I could see she was fine upon arrival.
Can I get some good service please?. We ate here on a Saturday afternoon. With the exception of a couple of large parties, it wasn’t really busy. We waited about 10 minutes for a waiter to show up. He took our order by using his exceptional memory. I hate it when servers don’t write down the order. I noticed after he left our table he immediately went to another across the restaurant and took another order. It took eating a whole basket of chips and sauce before he remembered to bring us our drinks and drinks to the other table across the way. It took another 20 minutes to get our meals which seemed odd since usually the premade reheated meals on the overheated plates show up in 10 minutes or less. DH asked for a drink refill when the waiter stopped by, he said someone would keep an eye on it and bring a fresh drink when the other was low enough. WHAT?!?! The glass was barely half full, how low does it need to be?I don’t know why we keep coming back here and torturing ourselves. I guess old habits are hard to break.
Close the place or bring a new chef (if you have one). Horrendous food, service was decent.I cannot believe that people like this place. Mexican food is not burned rice, slimy beans, and stuffed pepper that looked like it came from a can.
Horrible!. Service was terrible & the food was even worse. This was our first & LAST trip.
We’ve been here several times. The food is decent but the service absolutely horrible. After getting our food and having to wait 20+ minutes for silverware, our food was cold and the waitress was too worried about who knows what. We won’t be going back.
No effort or taste. If you’re idea of nachos is shredded cheese and chips cooked in a microwave then you will like Mexican Village, otherwise save your money and go somewhere else. Their house salsa is basically ketchup with a little bit of added spice. I really wanted to like this place (nice happy hour), however most people with a microwave and cheese can match the ‘authentic’ taste of the Mexican Village.
Great Place!. Great place for Mexican food. They offer more of an American tasting Mexican vs. authentic, but it’s still delicious. One of the big things that always brings me back is the free chips and salsa (which happens to be my favorite!) before your meal..the happy hour is also great. The service and environment has always been excellent! Great place to go on your birthday-you get a free meal (when someone else purchases a meal)!!
