Bottom line: There has got to be a better burrito elsewhere in Fargo. A delicious fresh flour tortilla couldn’t save my burrito devoid of refried beans, flavorless salsa, soaking wet kidney/black beans, and just sickening queso. Avoid.
If you can’t have Chipotle…. Here’s the closest thing in FM. Apparently, the prices are a little high for the native Fargonian, but for Tex-Mex (That’s right, this IS NOT Mexican, it’s Tex-Mex) fast food, and a healthy portion that WILL make you feel full afterwards, this is a darn good meal. Quick (if there’s no rush) and delicious, this will satisfy the quick need for a burrito. They press their own tortillas right in front of you (just like Chipotle) so you get a pretty decent wrapper around some above-average fast food fare. The steak can be a little chewy, depending, but it allows for a decent texture change. I recommend getting Queso, as it adds a little bit of heat, a decent texture, and a good flavor for just a little extra. Top it off with a mix of corn and hot salsa, and fill with whatever else you would like. You get a pretty good meal for about $10. Also, you get a free medium drink with student ID (and several times at both Fargo and Moorhead locations they’ve given the free drink to my friend who is not a student as well). Sure, we don’t have a Chipotle like our neighbors to the east, but we have the next best thing, and it’s good.
Way WAY to little food for what you pay. This is Mexican fast food, but you will spend nearly as much as a full service Mexican sit down restaurant. To top off the poor business model, very poor selection in food. The food was over cooked and stale as though it had been sitting all day. Will never go back and would never recommend. Worst Mexican food experience I’ve ever had.
They press a fresh tortilla for each order!! What’s better than fresh tortilla’s!?!. Generous portion sizes, we feel it’s a good value for the money.
