Average breakfast, but priced cheap, plenty of food!
The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly but seemed to disappear for much of the meal. I had the chicken fried steak, and while the portions were fantastic, the flavor was not. The fries were great, but the steak itself lacked flavor and the gravy had a medicinal/cleaning solution taste to it. While the dinner roll was good, it was quite cold. The potato soup was good but also lacked flavor, was a tad watery, and some of the chunks of potato were quite large for the small vessel its served in. I’ll try the breakfast next time, but the dinner was a little disappointing.
Great value! great pancakes! homey atmosphere, excellent service. cant beat 3 big tastey jacks for under five bucks. try it out when you are in town.
