Ugh. My lady and I moved to Grand Forks last year and everyone was talking about this place. We tried it out and it was pretty bad. Nothing that we tried was any good. The chip sauce is basically tomato sauce with sugar in it. It’s really bad. If you’re ever in Grand Forks, do yourself a favor and go eat somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Ease up on the Pepper. First, just to clarify, nobody ever indicated the Red Pepper was gourmet. It’s not bad, though, either. For me personally, I love a turkey grinder w/ taco meat and a couple of Schneider tacos. That’s a satisfying meal. Along with the food, though, come the memories – growing up in GF for some of us meant lots of great memories at the Pepper, and that is what makes the cult following, every bit as much as the food.
I don’t get why people like the Pepper. I don’t know what the hype is about, I have eaten there with friends (drunk and sober) and for the price is not good at all. Where in the world does a grinder not come with cheese or taco meat? THAT’S WHAT MAKES IT A GRINDER! As for the white sauce…….it’s okay, but not sure why there is a cult following for it. The chips and sauce is the best thing on the menu…and that’s kind of sad in a way.
Dirty Money. The cashier should not make the taco’s bare handed.
