Me and my boyfriend went here last week, were from Canada, so we wanted to try the bbq here, my boyfriend had the pork chop with fries and mashed potato, I had the country fried sirloin with Caesar salad and chilli, it was all fairly priced, the pork chop was good and fries, mashed potato with dark gravy was alright. My meal, the presentation could’ve been better, big slab of meat just thrown on a plate with gravy, the chilli was warm, the cheese on top didn’t even melt. lots of food, you get to your table and theres a bucket of peanuts and they give you endless buns. we went in at 8-815, it was super packed with people still coming in often.but besides that, good, i would go back.

Really decent food for a really good price. Huge portions. Worth a visit. Great service too.

Stopped in with my husband yesterday at about 2:30 pm and the place was packed. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. Our server Betty was very friendly and explained the menu to us as it was our first visit. She let us know the in-house rolls are always at least 5 minutes fresh and all sides are in-house made. The rolls were awesome. The beer was ice cold. The portions are huge and the prices are ridiculously low. My husband tried the sirloin steak with baked potato and corn and really enjoyed it. I tried the prime rib with Caesar salad and baked potato. I will be completely honest – it was not the best prime rib I ever had in my life, nor did I expect it to be for 15.99. But, it was more tender and flavourful than would be expected for the price. For the price it was a terrific lunch and I look forward to coming back and trying out more of the menu.Recommended.

Sure it’s a chain restaurant, but they have some incredible steak. Dare I say the best steak in Grand Forks. Add that to the fresh rolls, variety of delicious things on the menu, and great service, this is one of the better restaurants in Grand Forks.

Amazing. My boyfriend and i came here from canada for our 1 year anniversary. 1. HUGE servings for cheap . we both loved our meals(ribs and pulled pork) 🙂 also cheap drinks! 2. Our server (hunter) was AMAZING. I cant say enough good things about him. kind, informed, attentitive!! made the experience the best!! my boyfriend(who is hard to please) said hunter was the best waiter he had ever had.. and i would like to agree. Thank you 🙂

Good value. One thing I love about the U.S. is how unbelievably cheap food is and of course, the portions you get. We were wanting to have some steak upon our shopping trip south of the border. Well, we drive by this place and I was pretty sure it would serve up some steaks just by the name alone. The place was very busy Saturday at 6 pm but our wait wasn’t too long. The staff were extremely well trained with their script to greet us and drop off a basket of their freshly baked bread which is apparently baked every 5 minutes. The bread was good though I didn’t love the cinnamon butter that came with it.I opted for the Dallas Filet (8 ounce) for $20 and it came with two sides. I chose the loaded baked potato so that had butter, sour cream, chives and bacon (not low cal at all) and some steamed broccoli to counteract the loaded potato choice. Meat was cooked to a perfect medium rare and wasn’t too over seasoned. U.S. beef tastes different than Canadian beef due to the different feed (more corn used in the U.S) so that changes the taste of the meat. But it was still good because the meal I got would have cost me about $30-$38 in Canada. This place claims that all sides are made in house, if so the rice was terribly over seasoned cause it was nearly inedible. Love the complimentary peanuts they give you here so it’s obviously not a good choice for anyone with peanut allergies as there’s peanut shells everywhere in the restaurant.Service is extremely bubbly and a bit contrived but I am always in awe of how the fantastic service one gets in the U.S. in restaurants and retails stores compared to Canada. I know Canadians are friendly by nature but someone retail shop staff don’t convey the same enthusiastic that I get when I am in the U.S.Also love that they do the loud over the top happy birthday songs to embarrass the birthday person. You can do that here as the place is very casual and the decor is very roadhouse like.
