Bad service and old food. I’ve there twice with my family and i would not bring them there any more.
Best food. Awesome fresh food and quiet place.my friend and I often eat here and enjoy it. only one thing i hope they can improve. i often order food from hibachi. it is usually sent food to my house about 35 minutes, but sometimes it take little bit longer. i wise they can hire one more delivery driver.
Horrible customer service, they reuse old food. Let me tell you about my experience with Hibachi Grill tonight. I placed my order at 6pm. At 7pm, I received a call from a man at an entirely different address, saying he had received my order from hibachi. He hadn’t ordered anything, but had assumed his daughter did, so he accepted the food. When he discovered our name and phone number on the order, he called us to let us know about the mistake. We immediately called Hibachi back, and were told they would fix the problem. At 7:30, a full 90 minutes after we placed our original order, we called Hibachi again, and were told that the driver was on his way to pick up the old food that got delivered to the wrong place, and bring it to us. Food that was, at this point, obviously cold, and who knows what could have happened to it. We told Hibachi that was not acceptable, and we needed new food delivered. They said it would be an additional 45 minute wait. We at first said to cancel the order because we had been waiting for nearly 2 hours for our food. We did receive a phone call from the driver at about 745, and he apologized for the mistake. A few minutes after that, the gentleman from the wrong address called us back to let us know that hibachi had come to pick up the old food and was planning on taking it back to us. He told us he had placed blue painters tape on the bottom of the containers so we would know if the food was just reheated. At this point, I called Hibachi back and asked to speak to the manager, and explained everything that had happened. The manager said he would have the food remade and would send it out to us, that it would take about a half hour, and we would receive a 50% discount. 45 minutes later, at 845, the food finally arrived. The delivery driver thought I was paying cash, when I had initially placed the order with my debut card, so he pushed past me into my house to call the store so they could get the credit card info. He then had the nerve to complain that I did not give him a tip! I told him that we had waited 2 hours and 45 minutes for our food, and there was no way I was going to give him a tip for delivering the food to the wrong address. He finally left.Upon opening the bag and inspecting the food, guess what we found on the bottom of the containers? Yep, blue painters tape. So I called hibachi back again, and told them it was unacceptable, that they had lost a customer, and I would be telling all of my friends about this incident. The manager at hibachi tried to tell me that the food was fresh, they just reused the container. To clarify, I asked him if he meant that they reuse old disposable containers, and he said yes. But it’s ok, because they clean them first. I told him if that was the case, I STILL would not be ordering from them. I told him that I did not appreciate being lied to, and that I would be spreading the word about their horrible customer service. Even worse than customer service, however, is their poor food handling practices. How long until someone gets sick from their habit of reusing old food that sat out for who knows how long?
It took 2hrs for my delivery to arrive. After calling the resturant numerous times i kept getting a reply oh he will be there in a little while. Then when the driver showed up he blaimed me for not giving propper directions. Well im sorry but im never ordering food from hibachi again!
Excellent service, they have crab legs, but ok food.
Great For North Dakota Chinese. I am a military spouse. We’ve traveled coast to coast and had a lot of great Chinese food… Hibachi may not be at the top of the list, but for Minot North Dakota, I refuse to eat Chinese else where! As a matter of fact, we tried 3 other restaurants, China Star, Happy Panda, and one in the mall, and gave up on Chinese (for over a year) before Hibachi Grill opened. There is a great variety of food, and the Grill in the back is amazing for more heath concious guests. The service here is GREAT for a buffet and even better than some full service establishments in Minot.
