The sushi was very good but it’s a total rip-off. With most places I’ve been to, there are 8 sushi rolls in one order (and that’s enough for me.) But at this place they only do 6 rolls in one order, and I have to order THREE orders of the avocado sushi rolls just to get my fill. That’s 18 ROLLS!!! That’s how TINY the roles are. (And no, I’m not fat). I regret not taking a picture to show just how small these rolls are. I’m sure the other roles are bigger but if you’re a vegan or a vegetarian they certainly rip you off with the avocado roll so just be warned.
I went here recently with my husband. We ordered the hibachi meal for two, Manhattan roll, and shrimp tempura. The shrimp tempura wasn’t the best that I’ve had but the Manhattan roll had a nice amount of spice to it and was really good… The star of the show, of course, was the hibachi. We’ve eaten hibachi before, so we knew what to expect, but the food was much better than either of us thought that it would be. The filet mignon was tender and juicy and perfectly cooked, the shrimp were large and delicious, and although I’ve had better lobster, it was really good as well. The rice was well cooked and seasoned, as were the noodles, and the dipping sauces provided added a nice flavor to the meal.I also noticed that the chef’s were accommodating to pickier eaters… We had a family at our table and one of the kids wanted her food prepared a certain way and the man cooking for us seemed happy to oblige. It was a great meal and we’re glad that we found a nice place to eat while visiting Minot. We’ll definitely be back.
Ordered to go and was pretty quick. Only downside was the rangoons were over cooked(all the cream cheese was gone). Otherwise it was pretty good.
Service sucked. The food was good! However, the restaurant wasn’t very busy and my sons food was brought 15 minutes after the others at the table and only after we asked where it was. Water glasses weren’t kept full (3 of us were drinking water). Took forever to get our bill and a carryout container. While the food was good, we will not be returning due to the service.
Asian food from any mall food court is better!. The food is edible but truth be told you can go to any mall nation wide and find better Asian food. The chicken is fatty, the rice is the worst thing (microwavable meals are 10x better), the sushi is about the only reason to go and even that is sub par. All-in-all save your money and hopefully we can bring in a worthy restaurant!
Nice surprise. Definitely a step up from the typical Asian restaurant in North Dakota or anywhere else for that matter. I will make it a regular stop.
I Like Everything There, Especially Like the Atmosphere of the N.D.Asia. Hibachi Grill, Sushi and Sashimi Dishes.
