Good hibachi option. Make their sushi fresh. Really enjoyed my hibachi meal. Went with the scallops, cooked perfectly. The portions are great. Big heap of rice and lo mein. We come here every time we are in Lima.
Different but good. I’ve become hooked on hibachi lately trying them all over the east coast. Thus was the first one that I’ve been to that gave noodles along with fried rice. They also sauced everything! This included the rice, noodles, vegetables and meats. That was a little different to me. Overall it was all tasty and the chef was pleasant and entertaining. Filet was amazing!

Good sushi. Their Love Boat is a sight to behold. More than a meal, it’s a festival!! All in all, Yamato is a pretty good restaurant. Nothing that makes it particularly stand out, but it’s a nice place to go to if you like sushi.
Lima’s only sushi option, order carefully!. It is what it is. Nice guys making sushi, and if you order the right stuff, you should be happy with it. They tend to get too exotic with their roll combinations, but if you keep it simple its good. They drown all the rolls in spicy mayo, so make sure you order it on the side if thats your choice. If you order a roll, you get soup and small salad as well. Miso better than the clear, and the yum yum dressing on the salad is awesome! Good shrimp tempura rolls, and rainbows are decent too.
Refreshing. I was so excited when this place opened and over a year later they’re still preparing wonderful sushi. In fact, I feel like it gets better every time I go. Plus, the prices are quite reasonable. I’ve never had the Hibachi, but I’ve heard it’s pretty great too.
<3 this place! The food is yummy, affordable, with many options. They have a hibachi grill and the cooks are great! One of my favorite food places in Lima.
Delicious sushi! Great service. Fair prices. Definitely a place you should try. They also have hibachi style cooking.
