One of oldest restraints in stark county. Polinoris decor is dated somewhat but the atmosphere and food makes up for it. Over the years I have learned that the owner makes a lot of the food from scratch. The sauce is authentic and fresh, as well as his homemade meatballs. The lasagna and chicken Parmesan are two of my favorites. I believe the lasagna and gnocchi are homemade and the lasagna is best next to any I have tried. The steaks are handcut and huge. For the price you can’t beat the food!. Sometimes people eat at the bar. It’s a friendly environment and the actual bar is kind of a historical piece in my opinion. It has been in place for over a hundred years. Sometimes when it is busy eating at the bar can be a quick alternative to the wait for a table and I wouldn’t have a problem with sharing a meal with my family there. The service has it’s ups and downs but for the most part the servers seem to be friendly and eager to make you happy. If you don’t have time to sit and eat, there is carry out .
Good food but… We barely ever saw our waitress. We waited forever for our food, forever for her to ask how we were or get more to drink or get our bill. And can they please burn their napkins they are all so greasy and sticky it looks and feels like they clean the ovens with them. I couldn’t touch my face with it. I loved their frog legs but the service sucked and the napkins were disgusting.
Polinori’s. Dated decor but the quality of the food makes up for it.
Wow! My girlfriend who was born and raised in alliance took me to Polinori’s a few months ago and I was instantly hooked. I instantly knew I was in for a treat when I seen the small old Italian ristorante atmosphere (imagine the little resturaunt from Godfather I where Michael whacked Virgil Salozo) everything from the pasta to steaks, as well as the appetizers is incredible! I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone craving old fashioned Italian dining.
Great steaks and excellent prices
Good food. Locals favorite. Every time we are in the area to visit family we stop in to eat. The place looks the same as it did when I was a kid!
