Established in 1946. Started in the late 1940s by Mary Ferritto, Mary's Kitchen was literally based out of her own private kitchen. Just down New St., Mary would make special meals and sell them to the hungry tourists frequenting Buckeye Beach when it was still a public beach. Surviving through the turmoil in the 70's, Mary's Kitchen is a testament to businesses in the district that providing good food at affordable prices is a sound business philosophy that will last for decades. Through almost 70 years, Mary's Kitchen has changed hands only a few times, and several of the "Daily Specials" are the same recipes that Mary developed in the 50's. The house that Mary built still stands today, with an add on commercial kitchen and additional dining space. It's truly history you need to experience first hand.
