  So we are both big fans of the local type restaurants. For some reason, that night, we came to Applebee’s. Never again. I hate hate hate hate hate when you are 2 min into the appetizer and the main course comes out, which happened. To top that, my chicken tenders were overdone and dry and both of our meals looked old, like they sat under the heat lamp for a while. Ended up spending $50 on two beers, an appetizer, and two meals. I must say though that our waitress was very nice and she did her job just fine. The damn line cooks suck at their jobs though. I have cooked at many restaurants and they should know better than to make the meals and appetizer at the same time. Piss poor job on their end. WILL NEVER GO BACK. Go to Casa Nueva.

  First, let me say that the service was great. But, I don’t go to Applebee’s often and I think tonight, I may have made a decision to only patronize the locally owned restaurants and not the chains. I was quite disappointed in the Bourbon Bacon Blue Burger I had and I was appalled at the fact that this particular Applebee’s has cancelled Happy Hour on Fridays yet has it on Sunday thru Thursday. Are they serious? What chain reastaurant doesn’t have happy hour on Fridays? Better yet there were about 10 local spots we could have gone to who do, so guess what. If I do decide to go to the one of two chains here (the other being Ruby Tuesday’s), that will be it.

  Why?. Why would you go to Applebee’s when there are so many independent restaurants in town? Cookie-cutter menu for cookie-cutter people.
