A classic dinner with specials most days. Doesn’t serve beer but what classic dinner did? I had the hotdogs and wife had the 2 for. Tomato soup, don’t go there! But the chili is great. Goid service when we were there.
We went to this place for dinner last evening. It’s a nice local place which can be one’s regular ‘diner’. Inexpensive food that’s home like and fed in a similar way. No fancy service, but decent food. We had the chicken fingers served with fries. The wraps were nice, the salsa and chips great. Service wasn’t great because only 1 waitress but that’s why it’s a local diner that’s easy on the pocket.
Gone down hill. After eating at the Court Street Diner many times in the past 14 years, my last few experiences have been quite blah. It seems that they are trying to lure-in students with offerings of hot dog specials and other cheap eats while not focusing on the quality of their cooking. During my last visit my potato soup, which I have ordered many times, was sour as if it was spoiled and the bread for my club sandwich wasn’t toasted. The waitress handled the soup gracefully and took the soup off our bill. (I didn’t mention the untoasted bread) Though it’s one of my eight year old’s favorites and their milkshakes are still tasty, I can’t say we’ll be back for quite awhile.
